  • "Lovely holiday in beautiful location can’t fault it pure bliss hope to return soon"

  • "It was a great cottage and we were very pleased that bread, milk, eggs and Welsh cakes were provided as a welcome."

I would have liked to have known where to leave the rubbish as I didn't like to leave it in the kitchen. Please let me know if you have a link that I could share with my friends on Facebook as I would highly recommend it. Sara Bowen. Mother of Thomas Flaherty who booked the cottage.

  • "Very basic property could do with a bit of modernising."

Amazing views across the back of the property. Would have been better if towels and washing up liquid where included in the list seemed odd that other items where all in but not these items. WiFi very sketchy.

Basic but clean and comfortable. We loved it. Thank you

  • "Good little house for a family."

The only thing I would say was that it was over priced. We had friends who were staying in another house which was closer to town and slept 9, it was considerably larger than our house and they were paying slightly less.

  • "Lovely cottage, very well equipped and great location for the lovely village and for travelling beyond."

Very helpful owners, and a nice welcome pack on arrival. Only real negative, cleanliness was not what we would look for, particularly the bathroom, which we had to clean on arrival as it had only had a light clean before. I read that extra cleaning was in place because of covid and the bathroom was not even up to normal standards.

  • "Positive - We had a lovely holiday, the views from the property were amazing and we really enjoyed watching the cows in the field, especially when they came up to the windows and the outside area."

The property had most facilities, some were removed because of covid - which is understandable. It was very quiet and peaceful, a short walk to Abersoch (my 7 year old walked fine without complaining) Negative - We felt the cottage could of been cleaned a little more, there were cobwebs on the ceiling, it was quite dusty in places, the windows had not been cleaned. Also my son dropped a dice down the cracks in the sofa, when we reached it out lots of crumbs came out (a peanut which we don’t eat so it was from someone else). The beds were comfy enough but we found the mattress on the single beds were too small, I had to wedge a pillow at the bottom to stop it moving about. Also one of the beds was broken underneath so had to be really careful when turning in bed.

  • "Lovley cottage, a little clinical maybe but everything you need on hand, great comms from owners."

It's a fair hike up a steep hill from the town which we'd worked out for ourselves prior to visiting but worth noting.

  • "The holiday cottage met our expectations and was set in a beautiful location but the standard of the pre holiday clean was extremely poor."

There was dust and cobwebs everywhere. Layers of grease on the kitchen table, lounge table and work tops. Tomato sauce on the legs of the kitchen table. Deposits of food left in the oven trays and outdoor bbq. Odd numbers of cutlery and cracked plates left in the kitchen cupboards.

  • "Had a lovely weekend at this cottage, it was very clean and tidy and cosy and warm when we arrived."

Peaceful and quiet with wonderful scenery. We especially loved the little lambs skipping about in the next field There's just one thing I'd ask for, any chance of putting up hooks in bathroom as we had nowhere to hang our clothes when having showers Would recommended this cottage to others

  • "This holiday let provided such a great holiday."

Fantastic location. Privacy that we wanted and we loved the friendly cows in the field directly behind us. Will be booking it again in the future as it was really comfortable and spacious.

  • "The cottage was great, in a lovely setting overlooking open fields."

The cottage was very spacious. There was plenty of space to park and sit out front or back with a table and BBQ there. Felt very much home from home. It was lovely and quiet tucked up at the top of Abersoch, but with an easy and expected 15 minute walk to the village, the beach and a similar walk to Llanengan. The fact there was no Wifi didn't bother us at all, even though we had teenagers. Getting out and about was far more important. The only niggle we had was the smell from the fridge which subsided after we cleaned it. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. Thanks

  • "Excellent Holiday Accommodation in converted barn that was much bigger than we expected from the listing photographs."

Superb location with easy walking downhill into Abersoch and an even closer Spa supermarket. Lovely countryside surrounding the private front and rear gardens with cows and sheep just over the fence. Panoramic views of Snowdonia and the sea when walking down the lane into the village. Would definitely recommend and love to return one day.

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
