The village of Tilston is situated on the upper reaches of the River Dee, located between the medieval city of Chester and the market town of Whitchurch. Close by is the Carden Park Hotel with a superb 5 star leisure spa and golf course. Chester is just 14 miles away, and this Roman city has quite rightly been described as 'the jewel of the North-West of England'. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the city is that within a very small area there is evidence of every period of history - from the old walls and amphitheatre of Roman times, through medieval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed town houses and Georgian terraces, to Victorian restorations and 21st century architecture. The City has much to offer the tourist, including excellent shopping in the famous 'Rows', and lovely walks around the old Roman Walls, along The Groves beside the River Dee or through the picturesque Grosvenor Park. Further afield, the stunning Welsh mountains and coastline, and the market towns and villages of Cheshire, Shropshire and Wrexham are all within easy touring distance, whilst the nearby Wirral Peninsula has many splendid courses to tempt the golfing enthusiast.

This Cheshire cottage offers homely accommodation with two bedrooms and a cosy sitting room. A small patio offers a fantastic, peaceful suntrap and paths lead across the owner's fields opening up miles of walking tracks. Just next door to this Cheshire cottage is a delightful country pub to quench your thirst, whilst the village store is just across the road for all your provisions. Explore further afield to the city of Chester which has much to offer including shopping, restaurants, Chester Zoo and historic walks along the Roman walls. Within easy touring distance of this Cheshire cottage is Delamere Forest, Beeston Castle, North Wales and Shropshire. This Cheshire cottage offers a fantastic opportunity to explore the delights of the local area all year round.
