Neston is an historic market town on the Wirral Peninsula, known as the “Jewel in the crown of the Wirral”. With varying architectural designs focused around the sandstone cross at its heart, Neston offers many shops, cafes and restaurants, and nestles in peaceful countryside providing a lovely setting for its regular Friday market and monthly farmers’ market. A real draw for walkers, cyclists and bird watchers alike, Neston is a short distance from the Dee Estuary and the marshland before it, providing a stunning aspect out to the Welsh hills beyond, and wonderfully varied wildlife - at Parkgate you can enjoy the views and sample homemade ice cream in a huge variety of flavours! There are lovely gardens at Ness, and a variety of tea rooms, eateries, galleries and beaches dotted throughout the peninsula. Ideally located for a day out in Chester, Liverpool or Manchester, and a reasonable driving distance to the North Wales coastline and the Snowdonia National Park, this area has something for everybody no matter what time of year you choose to visit.

Neston 3 miles. An end-terrace, sandstone Cheshire cottage, situated on a working livestock farm, in the very quiet and pretty hamlet of Burton, three miles from Neston on the Wirral Peninsula. This Cheshire cottage has been tastefully converted yet retains a cosy character feel, with the luxury of modern facilities, plus oak beams and skylights offering a stylish mix of old and new. A conservatory off from the open plan living area gives stunning views and spectacular sunsets over the RSPB reserve on the marshland, and the Welsh hills beyond. A quality Cheshire cottage, well-equipped and decorated with charm and style, the property offers an abundance of walking and cycling from the doorstep along the Wirral Way. With easy access to the historic market town of Neston nearby, there is plenty to do in the locality. For a day out, the Ness Botanic Gardens are a real must, as is the zoo, Roman walls and great shopping at Chester, or for something a little further afield, the Welsh coast and Snowdonia National Park are ready to be explored.
