  • "The perfect cosy hub for exploring North Wales!"

Close to lots of biking and hiking trails. For just the 2 of us (and our 2 pups) there was more than enough room. The kitchen is really well equipped with lots of useful items included and the log burner is ideal after a cold day out on the mountains! There was plenty of parking out the back too, even for our medium sized van. Thank you :-)

Especially as it sleeps 6 so well. The armed chairs took up lots of space. All in all a fab stay and great comms with the owners. Thank you.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay here."

The hot weather made it even better. This house is particularly spacious although it doesn't look it from the outside. The added bonus of a car park at the rear where there is always space. Not used to so many steps outside and of course inside only because we live in a bungalow and they made our legs ache!! Well furnished with a very well equipped kitchen with loads of gadgets. Beds were comfortable with good quality bed linen which I dare say was new or seemed new. The village is very picturesque with great walks in all directions especially at the back. There is a pub and a shop, however if you're not desparate for bits and pieces DO NOT buy from the shop the owner was quite offhand/rude and prices are a complete rip off, wait until you go into a town. Once bitten twice shy as they say.... Would always consider a return stay although sadly no mobile reception!

  • "Very nice and comfortable house and village, with beautiful surroundings and landscape."

Easy access walking tracks, both directly from the house as well as with shorter trips with our car . Good to have the owners tips and maps on walks from the house. We have absolutely no complains from our stay, except a minor advice: A little bit clearer information on garbage sorting could be good, e.g. mark the garbage cans with what to through in what can. We asked a neighbor who explained and we did our best .

The house was spotlessly clean, well equipped, and comfortable with plenty of room. The location was fantastic with beautiful walks on the doorstep and the immediate vicinity. Only a very short drive to Betws-y-coed and about half an hours drive to Conwy, Snowdon, Llandudno etc. The owners left plenty of information and treats on our arrival with contact information if needed. Overall a fantastic stay...we intend to return.

  • "This is our second time staying at 4 Arthur Terrace and it really is a home from home."

Extremely clean and homely, the beds are incredibly comfortable and there's everything you will need to enjoy your trip. The hosts are lovely and nothing is too much trouble, the neighbours were also very helpful. The views from the house are amazing and words can't begin to describe the beauty that's right on your doorstep. The local pub is a must we spent most of out nights there in the beer garden, also the local church doesn't look like much from the outside but once you step inside it's breathtaking. We would 100% reccomend to all of our friends and family and were already planning our trip for next year.

We had a great time here and would definitely come back. The place was beautiful, clean and had everything you could need. There were even some welcome Welsh cakes and some homemade jam for us…and the fire was already built ready for us to light! The parking was easy to find and always a space available. Would absolutely recommend this place no question. Justin the host was great to deal with and made everything really easy.

Nice to have a log fire. Easy parking at rear. Lots of nice places to visit in North Wales - we enjoyed Dollgellau, Barmouth, Llandudno, Conwy and Caernarfon. It is a very quiet village, in the middle of the most beautiful tall hills/mountains. The walks from the house were so lovely, just a gentle stroll to some easy stepping stones over the river which the dogs thought was perfect! The kitchen was the best equipt we have ever encountered, and we do 5 or 6 short trips a year. We cooked all our meals, including a roast for four, with no difficulty at all. The furnishings all felt fresh, beautifully coordinated and very comfortable, with plenty of space to unpack in the bedrooms and kitchen. We would love to return!

Discover stylish decor inside and good views from the garden terrace, all the while being within easy reach of a host of attractions nearby including the delightful town of Betws-y-Coed.

The front entrance for No 4 is up seven stone steps to the front door, passing a sitting area with bench which catches the afternoon and evening sun.

The door opens into the beautiful living/dining room, furnished with vibrant, plush sofas which you can sink into in front of a cosy woodburning stove.

The room combines a spacious lounge area with a dining table and chairs at one end.

You can feel the warmth from the fire in all areas, either when you’re relaxing and watching the Smart TV in the evening or enjoying a delicious meal at the table.

The decorative flooring runs throughout the downstairs and leads to a bespoke kitchen in a traditional oak timber style and granite worktops, with an island preparation area making cooking a pleasure if you’re dining at home.

There are a full range of appliances between the kitchen and the handy utility/laundry room, so you have all you need for a self-catered stay.

The large sofa in the kitchen is perfect to make it a room where you can relax and socialise with a glass of wine while waiting for your meal to cook.

After a busy day of exploring, walking and activities, you can head upstairs to take a moment to relax with a hot soak in the roomy L-shaped bath within the deluxe bathroom, with an overhead shower too for a refreshing way to wake up in the morning.

Each bedroom has been lovingly decorated to offer a tranquil sleeping spot for each guest, with neutral tones, crisp and pretty bed linen and plenty of storage for your belongings; choose from the lovely twin, a snug double with access from one side, or the elegant king-size bedroom with a sunny feature yellow wall to brighten up your day first thing.

Head outside to discover the fully enclosed, terraced garden split over three levels, with a bistro set just outside the door from the kitchen, a great place for a morning coffee with the paper.

Continue up to the third level which brings you to a fantastic decked area with a picnic bench for some alfresco dining and a romantic love seat, perfect for coming together on a summer evening and admiring the views of the surrounding mountains and hills over the rooftops.

Here you also find the rear gate and a very short path to plenty of parking.

The convenience of parking means that it’s probably the way you will come in and out most days, but the gate also steps you straight onto a footpath running directly uphill into open countryside and the start of so many local walks.

The lovely village is home to a welcoming local pub and shop, both less than 3 minute’s walk and catering to all your needs, whilst a wider selection of amenities can be found in the picturesque Betws-y-Coed which is just 5 minutes away by car.

Betws-y-Coed is known for the wonderful surrounding landscape which is scattered with waterfalls and woodland, it's the perfect place to stop at for an afternoon treat mid-walk or cycle with plenty of tearooms and cafés to choose from.

Penmachno is a great spot for the avid explorer being within the beautiful Machno Valley and just a few miles north from where the Machno and Conwy rivers meet, resulting in a series of stunning waterfalls and the stunning “Roman Bridge”, offering great walks to get to know the surrounding area.

Those who delight in thrill-seeking with mountain biking are in for a treat as literally just outside the village you can find Gwydyr Forest and the Penmachno mountain bike trails, home to a great network of scenic trails for all abilities, there's something for everyone!
