  • "This holiday cottage is an absolute gem."

The pictures do not do it justice!! We had the perfect stay in the lovely surroundings. So peaceful and the hot tub was a lovely addition as was the fire. Glenda was very easy to contact, and left us a lovely cake for our arrival and then dropped another to us mid stay. We really fell in love with the place and will definitely be rebooking.

  • "This cottage exceeded expectations."

Spotlessly clean, really cosy and welcoming. A listing where the photos don’t do the cottage justice! Great space and location, straight out the front door and able to walk the Clwydian Range. Glenda has really thought of everything you might need, and more; leaving a freshly made cake for us to enjoy with a cuppa. Definitely return again. Thank you.

  • "The accommodation is superb."

It's very clean, spacious and comfortable. There are lots of walks from the doorstep. The Sunday lunch at The Three Pigeons pub was excellent. The only down side is the first two days we we woken each day at 4:30am by the next door neighbour's cockerel which is situated about 6m from the bedroom window which left us extremely tired for the first weekend.

  • "We spent the week here just after lockdown - a much needed break!"

The cottage was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is stocked well with just about every utensil you could need. We didn't fancy eating out in the current climate but made fabulous meals in the cottage. There's a Tesco not far away, and a large Morrisons in Wrexham so we were able to stock up for the week on arrival. The beds are comfy and rooms spacious enough with plenty of drawer and cupboard space. There's a few dvd's that you can watch, and there's even a landline phone in the cottage - mobile reception isn't that great, but there's wifi to connect to. There are still a lot of places closed due to the covid pandemic, but we found lots to do regardless. We spent a day at the Welsh Mountain Zoo which was fabulous (take a picnic as there's only one coffee shop open and not much choice for eating). We went to Llandudno for the day and took the cable cars on The Great Orme - amazing views! Watch out for the seagulls on the beautiful pier though - took the ice cream right out of my little boys hand!! We also spent a day at Talacre beach - really nice beach and the lighthouse is beautiful. We had a wonderful, relaxing week at Nant Yr Hendre, and did not want to leave! The hot tub was a hit with all of us and we used it every day at least once. There's a barbecue which we used when the weather was sunny, and there's so much space for the kids to play safely too. I would highly recommend this cottage and we hope to return next year :)

Under floor heating and the log burner kept the whole place toasty during our sub-zero week! The setting was amongst lush rolling hills with a fenced-off stream bordering the property which attracted lots of wildlife. 10 minutes from Ruthin (supermarkets, chip shop etc) but local pub is closer! We found the owners and neighbours kind and helpful when we needed them too. Would highly recommend this cottage and we will definitely return!

This cottage / barn conversion exceeded our expectations and the pictures do not do this place justice. The underfloor heating kept everywhere warm and snug. The beds were the comfiest we have stayed in. The shower's were both hot and powerful. The owners couldn't of been nicer and made the stay really special for us. There is a lovely traditional pub the three pigeons less than a mile away and Ruthin centre was less than 10 mins drive away. We will most definetly be coming back.
