The tiny village of Gwaenysgor sits on the side of a hill in the quiet North Wales countryside, within the Clwydian Hill Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is just a quarter of a mile to the top, from where a wonderful panoramic view over the countryside and coast can be enjoyed. The village itself has a very good pub and is ideally placed for joining the Offa's Dyke National Trail which lies within a few minutes walk. The sandy beaches at Prestatyn provide safe bathing, a variety of watersports and lovely walks, whilst four golf courses and a leisure centre are within easy reach. Along the coast are the fabulous Mountain Zoo at Colwyn Bay and the Victorian resort of Llandudno with its lovely promenade. Within easy reach are the scenic lakes of Brenig and Alwen, a variety of castles and gardens and the spectacular scenery of Snowdonia, the Lleyn Peninsula and the Isle of Anglesey.

The Property

Bryn Ffynnon is a lovely 17th Century stone built detached farmhouse, set in a quiet position in the tranquil village of Gwaenysgor, where the owner also runs the excellent pub (2 minutes walk away). The house retains much of its original charm and character including solid oak beams, a magnificent inglenook fireplace and an old cooking range, all creating a welcoming cosy atmosphere. It is well equipped throughout, decorated and furnished in traditional cottage style and has two delightful gardens perfect for dining al fresco and relaxing. There are wonderful coastal views only a few minutes walk from the house, and Prestatyn's Blue Flag beach renowned for family fun, water sports and fishing is only 2 miles. This is an ideal base for touring all of North Wales and at the end of the day return to this very welcoming house.
