Only one mile from the lovely North Wales coast, standing between the historic village of Rhuddlan with its majestic castle, and the famous resort of Prestatyn, the village of Meliden boasts a history of lead mining, a neolithic burial mound called Gop Hill which provides panoramic views of the area and also good pubs/restaurants and shops. This area is a walker's paradise with the 8th century Offa's Dyke Pathway starting at Prestatyn seafront and meandering up into stunning countryside all the way to Chepstow, if you're fit!
