    • “We thought we'd seen it all when it came to cottage holidays but this one topped the lot. So many thoughtful touches and extras that we didn't expect to be in the cottage but then wondered how we would have managed without them. A lovely location for touring the area, and the information provided by the owners about local walks led us along some lovely paths. Will be back!”

    • “A lovely spacious cottage, we had a very relaxing time as a family with visiting toddler. The superking bed in main bedroom was a treat and it was great to have 2 good bathrooms/2 showers, plus sinks in each bedroom. Well appointed throughout, with lots of light in the lounge diner. DVDs and games were a nice touch.”

About the location

Chester 6 miles.

Tarvin is a bustling village just 6 miles from historic Chester. Tarvin boasts several local shops, good pubs serving food and a wine bar bistro. Chester has quite rightly been described as 'the jewel of the North-West of England'. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the city is that within a very small area there is evidence of every period of history - from the old walls and amphitheatre of Roman times, through medieval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed town houses and Georgian terraces, to Victorian restorations and 21st century architecture. The City has much to offer the tourist, including excellent shopping, in the famous 'Rows', and lovely walks within the city boundaries - around the old Roman Walls, along The Groves beside the River Dee or or thourgh the picturesque Grosvenor Park. Further afield, the stunning Welsh mountains and coastline, and the market towns and villages of Cheshire, are all within easy touring distance, whilst the nearby Wirral Peninsula has many splendid courses to tempt the golfing enthusiast.
