About the location

NANNERCH

Caerwys 4 miles; Mold 6 miles.

Nannerch is a small village situated between Mold and Caerwys, on the eastern flank of the Clwydian Hills in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Boasting wonderful walks through the countryside and hills, with stunning views, the village is home to a popular 18th century pub serving good food and real ale, and a sports club with a great range of facilities. Caerwys is one of the smallest towns in Great Britain, standing between the northern edge of the Clwydian Hill Range, and the miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales Coast. It has two pubs, a couple of shops, a Post Office, butcher, pharmacy, a bowling green, and tennis courts. Just six miles away, the market town of Mold lies in an ideal position for exploring the attractions of North Wales, with excellent access to superb walking and breathtaking scenery. It offers a regular market, a selection of shops, good pubs and of course, Theatre Clwyd, the National Theatre for Wales. Chester is just a short drive away, with its historic buildings, riverside walks, a racecourse, and excellent shopping, whilst majestic Conwy Castle can be found within half an hour's drive. An excellent touring base for North Wales.
