  • "The most delightful, extremely well equipped cottage, in a beautiful, quiet, rural setting, not too far from amenities, with lovely owners who added so many extra thoughtful niceties."

  • "This amazing cottage was a home from home."

The owners have thought of everything: well equipped kitchen, fire set ready to light, plenty of tea towels and hand towels, essential toiletries, amazing Christmas decorations, welcome package etc. The owners were lovely and provided lots of feed for the sheep. The children were upset to leave this wonderful cottage and the sheep. In the visitor book I found a simple comment which resonated with us “I have found my happy place”. We really have. We will be back. Thank you.

The accommodation is beautiful and incredibly well stocked. In fact, it’s the best cottage we have stayed in for supplying everything you could think of (there was even bubble bath!). The treats on arrival were a lovely thought and the resident sheep are entertaining. The cottage is in a great location for exploring bit further enough away from everything for a peaceful stay. We feel very rested and will certainly return. Thank you! :)

  • "We can't speak highly enough about Hafan Haydn!"

We absolutely loved the location. So peaceful, quiet, pretty and still loads to see and do even though it's out of season in November. Not far from the shops and the beach. A lovely little trip down to the local pub The Blue Lion. Also less than an hour away from Anglesey so great spot for a day trip out. We needed a holiday of just pure relaxation, a time out from daily life and a chance to catch up on crafting and reading. The hosts were so friendly, accommodating and they have worked so hard on making this cottage an inviting and cosy place to stay. The cottage was spotless! Cleanest place we have ever stayed and was also well equipped. More than a home from home! We would love to return!

  • "This cottage was AMAZING!"

! The hosts Rhian & Yan are so friendly and helpful. It is set in beautiful countryside and is spotlessly clean! The extras provided were wonderful and much appreciated. Our granddaughters loved feeding the sheep and keep asking us “when can we go there again”. The log burner was all laid ready to light to give a really cosy night (but we didn’t need it as we had great weather). Sykes need to amend the directions - we got lost but once we’d spoken to Rhian we realised we should have just stayed on the lane until the grassed triangle with the wooden bench and then turn left there. Once again this is a wonderful cottage!!!

The four of us (2 adults and 2 kids, aged 12 and 9) were very comfortable and settled well into the space, which was compact yet spacious. The facilities are excellent, and it was very clean and welcoming (especially all the little welcoming touches/goodies!). The view was just amazing, and the sheep very friendly and characterful. The location is great as well - an easy drive to some gorgeous family-friendly beaches and you literally step off the drive into beautiful walks. We'd love to come back one day!

You simply cannot fault or complain about anything, it is just perfect. The welcome pack that is left is very kind and generous. The cottage is in the perfect location to do as much or as little as you like. With just the perfect views. We absolutely loved feeding the sheep, of which you get left pellets to feed them with. We will definitely be back without a doubt.

The outside space was fantastic, so quiet and peaceful. Cottage is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Clean, tidy and very comfortable. The antics of their sheep, and wild rabbits kept us amused! Always something going on. The cottage is half hour from Conwy, local pub is a nice walk away and local butcher is fantastic. Highly recommend to anyone who needs to get away for peace and quiet.

The cottage was immaculate, cosy, and comfortable and the welcome pack with wine, was a nice touch and was enjoyed by us.The views are stunning, so nice to wake up, sit with a coffee, and enjoy the peacefulness of the countryside. We made good friends with the sheep, they are so cute . The owner gave us a bucket of foodie snacks for them, and we loved it when they came close to the fence and fed from our hands. Sad to leave, being back to the bustle of daily life will bring us back down to earth. Would recommend this property, its perfect. They state "Follow the sign to Dyserth for approx. 1.8 miles. Turn left onto side road at a grass island and continue for 0.3 miles. The signs for Plas Onn Bach and Hafan Haydn will be seen on the drive on the right." The owner told me that it would be better if Sykes Cottages directions had read "Turn left onto side road at a grass island WITH A BENCH" if you'd done as they believed it would have read like this it would have saved me an hour trying to find the place. The place was immaculate. I really loved the kitchen and the bathroom which has a shower to die for. The headroom in the bedroom with the king size bed is a problem, may I suggest you replace the king size bed with a double, as this may save future people knocking them selves out when they get out of bed in the middle of the night. We were disappointed there were no chickens and eggs as described There is also no handle for the grill in the kitchen. Rhian was very nice, thank you for constantly finding the girls rings. I was disappointed no one answered the door of your house when I tried to drop off the keys on Friday. Good Luck with letting your cottage in the future

The cottage was immaculate and a lot nicer than it looked in the pictures. The owners had thought of everything and they left the best welcome treats that we've ever had at a property. The fire was already laid and ready to light and they supplied enough wood that we didn't need to buy any extra. The shower and bath were great and the surroundings and peace and quiet made for a lovely relaxing break. Thank you so much for letting us stay. Only minor comment is the kitchen could do with a little more space for food storage, maybe just one empty cupboard for groceries would be handy. But that wasn't a big problem and we really loved the place.

Rhian and Yan made us really welcome in their immaculate cottage, not only a personal welcome but left us a well stocked fridge (milk, butter, Prosecco, a beer, bread and cream cakes) The cottage was left beautifully warm for our arrival plus the wood burner was laid ready to light for a cosy evening. (Plus a basket of logs to keep us going) Next day magically a restock of coals, kindling and fire lighters arrived outside the door. The views around the cottage are fantastic, with sheep coming down the mountain to graze just over the wall and Rhian and Yan’s chickens sauntering around the garden too. The weather was wild and wet (after all it is December!) so we did not make use of the lovely patio with it cast iron table snd chairs and rattan furniture. After a few country lanes it was easy access to the coast and places of interest. Will definitely be returning again.
