The tiny village of Gwaenysgor sits on the side of a hill in the quiet North Wales countryside, within the Clwydian Hill Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is just a quarter of a mile to the top, from where a wonderful panoramic view over the countryside and coast can be enjoyed. The village itself has a very good pub and is ideally placed for joining the Offa's Dyke National Trail which lies within a few minutes walk. The sandy beaches at Prestatyn provide safe bathing, a variety of watersports and lovely walks, whilst four golf courses and a leisure centre are within easy reach. Along the coast are the fabulous Mountain Zoo at Colwyn Bay and the Victorian resort of Llandudno with its lovely promenade. Within easy reach are the scenic lakes of Brenig and Alwen, a variety of castles and gardens and the spectacular scenery of Snowdonia, the Lleyn Peninsula and the Isle of Anglesey.
A cosy, detached chalet, in the small hamlet of Gwaenysgor, 200 yards from the renowned village pub, and only 2 miles from Prestatyn with its golden sandy beaches on the beautiful North Wales coast. Maybe you will choose to head to the beaches of Prestatyn, or perhaps undertake a section of Offa’s Dyke footpath, which runs right past the doorstep of this Prestatyn cottage. On your return, sit in the pleasant lawned garden and enjoy the fantastic views across fields towards the coast whilst you enjoy a refreshing drink and wait for your evening meal to cook on the BBQ. Having an enclosed garden for my dog and being in a quiet area and not being overlooked.

The quiet village and views were lovely. The people we met were all friendly, especially at the local pub. The cottage had everything we could need and the beds were very comfortable. The booking process was so easy.

We were very impressed with all the extra items provided, such as binoculars, a range of DVD's, and many other items which made it feel like home from home. A lot of thought had gone in to providing everything you could possibly want.
