The small village of Bodfari is peacefully located in the lovely Vale of Clwyd, beneath the imposing Clwydian Hill Range. Steeped in history, the village has taken on many roles, such as a Celtic camp in 500 BC and a Roman Encampment, while the original Church of St Stephen pre-dates the Norman Conquest. The area surrounding this pleasant village boasts a range of good country pubs and eateries. The Offa's Dyke pathway is easily accessible from the village and the ancient market town of Denbigh, with its celebrated 13th Century Castle and pretty streets littered with shops, pubs and restaurants, is just 5 miles away. Previous visitors' comments about Pen Y Bryn Cottage:
We had a wonderful Easter week at Pen Y Bryn, near Bodfari. The owners were so friendly and helpful, even stocking us up with bread and milk for our arrival as it was a bank holiday. The cottage provided ample space for ourselves, two children and our dog; and the log burner made it really warm and cosy at night. Our dog was spoilt for choice by the land available to run around which included a huge field accessible by a gate from the garden. The views from the cottage over to the mountains and coast were stunning. Everything exceeded our expectations and we all can't wait to return.

Met by the owner on arrival, flowers and bottle of wine waiting, very pleasant and helpful. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We know the area well but they were full of advice & knowledge. Definitely staying again, can't recommend highly enough!

We loved our holiday and will be going again. The owners were very helpful and there was a bottle of wine when we arrived. The property and area was lovely, the best we have had. Our dog loved it, plenty of room for her out side. The log fire kept the property very warm with little mess. We had a lovely stay. Thank you from all of us.
