Here the River Conwy meets its three tributaries creating a host of cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges throughout the surrounding countryside, the most famous of which is the magnificent waterfall at Swallow Falls, situated where the River Llugwy meets with a spectacular chasm creating a sight not to be missed! With all of Snowdonia to explore and North Wales' Heritage Coastlines also within easy reach, this beautiful location is perfect for outdoor activities or a quiet “away from it all” holiday at any time of year!

The Property

This pleasant, stone built mid-terraced cottage is set on the edge of the pretty village of Cwm Penmachno, 8 miles from Betws-y-Coed, in the Snowdonia National Park. Overlooking fields to the front and rear, this Penmachno cottage which dates back to the 1820s, is a former headmistress’s home, which today provides an ideal holiday home for a family who wish to explore this wonderful area. This Penmachno cottage offers comfortable accommodation, with a light and airy sitting room, a dining room with cosy solid fuel stove in a stone hearth, and a well-equipped kitchen, whilst upstairs, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. Outside this Penmachno cottage is a front and rear lawned garden, where alfresco dining can be enjoyed on a sunny evening. This Penmachno cottage is superbly located for walkers and cyclists, with an abundance of walking trails from the doorstep, whilst less than three miles away is the Penmachno Trail for experienced mountain bikers. Within driving distance is the popular town of Betws-y-Coed, which boasts shops, pubs, a golf course, waterfalls and riverside walks. This terrific Penmachno cottage provides a lovely base for a break away, at any time of year.
