Rhes-y-Cae is a quiet, rural village located in an SSSI area (Site of Special Scientific Interest) on the slopes of Halkyn Mountain, also a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Loggerheads Country Park with its visitor centre offers the opportunity for glimpsing local wildlife, whilst walking along the Leete Pathway on the banks of the River Alyn.
