Burtonport and its surrounding areas are ideal for lovers of fishing; try sea fishing in Burtonport, catch a charter boat out to sea and try your hand at deep sea fishing, or make the most of one of the 130 lakes or rivers this area has to offer. Those who love golf can delight in the many courses in the area, while nature lovers can try and spot wildlife in the bogs and reed beds, plus mountaineering and mountain climbing can be enjoyed nearby. No matter what you love to enjoy, Burtonport is a great base.

There are beautiful, isolated sandy beaches just a couple of minutes walk from this Burtonport cottage, so the children can play safely in the sand, whilst you relax in the knowledge that you can pop back to your holiday home whenever you need to top up the picnic. The village of Burtonport is just a couple of miles away and has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as the ferry terminal to Arranmore Island.
