A few minutes' drive brings you to the seaside town of Bridlington with its long sandy beaches, wide promenade and pretty harbour. A few minutes further brings you to the dramatic high cliffs of Flamborough Head and Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve - both superb places for bracing cliff-top walks and spectacular scenery. The small linear village of Beeford lies in the Yorkshire Wolds betwixt Driffield, Bridlington and Hornsea - yet within 10 miles of Beverley. The two main streets are lined with a mixture of old and modern properties. There is Post Office, butcher's shop, a pub and a fish and a chip shop. Additionally there are several churches lining the main street. Surrounded by rich agricultural land, Beeford is a good location for exploring the pretty market towns of the Yorkshire Wolds such as Market Weighton and Beverley. The seaside resorts of Bridlington and Flamborough lie a few miles to the east. The RSPB reserve at Bempton is only 14 miles away and during the summer the cliffs are alive with puffins, razorbills, cormorants and gannets.
