The village of Skipsea is situated in the Yorkshire Wolds, in a typically rural setting surrounded by rich, agricultural land, yet Skipsea also sits within one mile of the beach and is close to the cliffs of the North Sea. The village has its own Post Office, general store and tea room, a hairdresser’s, a fish and chip shop, and a pub. Many of the houses in the village, both old and new, use cobbles from the sea shore in the building. Just outside the village are the remains of Skipsea Castle. The surrounding countryside is excellent for walking and cycling, whilst the nearby seaside towns of Bridlington and Filey boast long sandy beaches and numerous resort attractions. The Deep Submarium at Hull, Sledmere House and Burton Constable Hall are within 20 miles, whilst the shops, cathedral and museum of historic York, the resort town of Scarborough and the North Yorks Moors Steam Railway at Pickering are within an hour’s drive, and Whitby is just a little further, making Skipsea a superb base for a relaxing holiday.

The property had the 'wow factor' and was spotlessly clean.
Mrs Crossley, Derby, March 2013
The owners put up beautiful Christmas decorations for us and were very helpful without being over bearing. The situation of the property is very nice and rural. It was easy to cook a Christmas meal in the very well equipped kitchen. I would like to thank your staff for taking the time to help me find a suitable property.
Mrs Rigley, Nottingham, December 2012
The very high standard and comforts of our beautiful holiday home just made it for us. Knowing that we were returning to Rabbit House at the end of the day was well worth the battle through the fog! If we could award the owners and the house a gold star, we would!
Miss Rowan, Lincoln, October 2012
The cottage made our holiday. It was fantastic, best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed at. A true credit to the owners.

Mr & Mrs Brown, Wakefield, August 2012
Rabbit House was a lovely place to stay - everything we needed for a family holiday. The house was even better than the photographs on the website. We enjoyed watching the wildlife especially the hares and the friendly pheasant. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return at some stage and would thoroughly recommend it to others.
Mrs Barnes, Birmingham, June 2012

Miss Wood, Chesterfield, April 2012
We really enjoyed our stay at Rabbit House, we were made to feel really welcome. The cottage was immaculate, and it had a really homely feel. We enjoyed the walks over the fields in the evening watching the sunsets. We will be booking again.
Mrs Woodward, Sheffield, March 2012
The property was beautiful and the decor outstanding - very homely. The owners were incredibly helpful and showed us to the nearest beach which was fabulous and empty! Great for two families sharing, and accommodating for dogs with a useful utility room for drying off and also for muddy/sandy boots.
