  • "The owners were hostile on the first day as there was confusion over the car parking."

The second bedroom was not useable due to the stairs being very dangerous. The bathroom tiny. We are not big people but for anyone bigger it would have not been sufficent size wise. The tv did not work for last 4 days. This was reported to the owner. Who simply said its the satalite and proceeded to ignore any future texts around this subject. The flat was situated at the top but the lights in the hallway did not work making it very dangerous at night. There was no where to hang clothes anywhere and no drawers which made our stay very uncomfortable for the week. A simple welcome from the owners would have been nice but they obviously dont think our custom is important. All in all not a good stay and not a good advertisement for Bridlington as a seaside resort.

  • "The cleanliness of the flat left a lot to be desired."

The shower tray flooded whilst using shower. The toilet Leaked when flushed .Both beds had broken slats. Not enough storage space on bedrooms. The sofa had seen better days. Not one of the Better flats I have stayed in especially for the price.

  • "There was lack of communication when first booked given wrong contact details and took weeks to get any response, bed was previously broken and had been poorly repaired when the slats fell out and contacted property owner she arranged for somone to come put them back but then they fell out again and she didn't belive what I was saying about just sitting on bed and complained about smell of nappies but I wasn't aware anyone would be coming to the property so hadn't had chance to remove these and there was no information about which bin was the correct one for our flat to use."

Lack of resources; no washing up liquid, no sponge/dish clothes, no hand soap for bathroom, no bedding on travel cot, only one toilet roll and one bin liner

  • "On arriving at the apartment we could not get into the property as Mr Power had not sent us the key code ."

Having contacted Mr Power he said he had sent it . Getting in touch with Sykes, as we lost contact with Mr Power, it was made apparent that he or Sykes had the wrong phone number. I have no complaint with Sykes as they did their best and did get in touch with him. Having gained access to apartment on first impressions it looked very nice ,pictures décor. but , to our dismay opening the fridge it had not been cleaned from last occupants, there was frozen rolls left in freezer, bread left in the bread bin ,a frying pan left in the oven half full of oil, the oven smelled. Cooker top was greasy .Cutlrey was greasy handles. That was first on looking in the apartment .Mr Power was informed ,he assured us he would send someone the next day to get the whole place cleaned ,he did apolagise and said he had no problems with the company that cleaned before and thought that it must have been because it was the last apartment to be cleaned and they rushed it, and he wouldn't be using them again ,and that he would be getting his sister in law to go in and clean it .Im sure it would of being a case of getting the "Cleaning Company " back in there and doing the job they were paid to do in the first place ??.Not his sister in law .He also said when he got back from his weekend away he would call on us to ee if everything was ok .He Did not. Next day we were out the frying pan had been cleaned extra towels had been left ,a spray of something to make it seem something had been done I can assure you it was not. and the toilet roll holder was also broken and was not fixed ether. Looking back I feel we should have asked for a transfer, but we thought we would just get on with the holiday and enjoy our time up there.I have just lost my husband to kidney cancer and this was a break for me with my friends ,so we didn't want to spend our time on phone calls sorting stuff out, I cleaned the fridge out only used the top of the cooker a couple of times.there are a few other niggley cosmetic things need doing in the place but ive gone on enough.Needless to say we enjoyed our time going out and made best of our holiday,Thankyou .

  • "First of all a hiccup with the txt details for entry to the property, I had to phone the owner again on arrival as not heard anything, (the details were sent to the wrong mobile number!"

!). Due to only spending 3 nights at the property with my daughter and 2 granddaughters the following was not reported to the owner as I did not want to waste our holiday reporting things that should have been obvious to whoever does/does not do the cleaning/checking between 10 am and 3 pm. The kitchen sink and underside of the washing up bowl were filthy with grease and food residue (good job you can get rid of most of this with hot water and watered down washing up liquid as there were no cleaning products available). This made me check the rest of the property which revealed no dusting had taken place, all surfaces and lamps etc had more than 1 weeks dust on them. The (uncomfortable I might add) sofa had food crumbs on it and even more underneath it. The shower head did not fit in the holder so as soon as you turned it on it shot out and landed on the floor, the bathroom mirror had not been cleaned. The bedroom on the same level as the living space has absolutely no clothes storage at all. The bedroom on the upper landing does have clothes storage but no mirror? Are we all supposed to mingle in and share storage and mirrors (I don't think so), also the blind in this bedroom was broken on arrival. We had a lovely time in Bridlington itself but would not recommend this apartment unless standards are improved, please make sure you publish this feedback as I feel as though I stayed in a totally different place to the other reviews that said it was incredibly clean and tidy, or maybe my standards are different.

  • "We booked for a family of 4 and there was only enough linen for 3 with non spare."

The checking in and out i thought was a little impersonal - ie a template text telling us unlock codes for key safes. There was also a leaky toilet. We did not report any of this as I just did not feel like i had a relationship with the landlord - not sure if that makes sense? I do accept that i did not give them a chance to help, though these checks should have been carried out prior to our arrival. I really do want to pass on the positive though too. The flat was very clean and very well decorated, despite what i have mentioned above, i really would recommend a stay there and we really do intend to come again.

The apartment was perfect for us. Really clean and tidy and we weren’t on top of each other. The local pub was great. Really friendly and they did a great fry up. We ate out and the food was lovely. Also went and visited the place they filmed Heartbeat and had a drink in the Aidensfield Arms. Had a brilliant weekend.

Incredibly clean and tidy and very welcoming. It's in a really great location for the town and beach. Overall we had a really lovely weekend and would go back to Flat 3. Our only disappointment was the lack of mirrors, but that's not exactly a deal breaker!
