Hedon is a small picturesque town in Holderness in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Surrounded by open countryside, this bustling little town has a good selection of individual shops, tea rooms and restaurants. A mixture of old and new, Hedon was originally a prosperous port created by the Normans. It lies within easy reach of the historic city of York, the pretty market town of Beverley and the renowned nature reserve at Spurn Point. The Deep sea life centre is nationally famous and only 6 miles away – it is well worth a visit and offers a wonderful day out for the family.

This Hedon cottage stands alone in a rural position and offers privacy for those wishing to explore the Yorkshire/Lincolnshire coast. Just a short drive from this Hedon cottage is Spurn Point Nature Reserve, whilst to the north is the pretty medieval market town of Beverley. Visit Beverley Minster, one of Europe's finest Gothic churches and see the fine stained glass windows and medieval stone carvings. Alternatively, York is just over an hour’s drive away and the seaside resort of Hornsea is also nearby, as are the North Yorkshire coast resorts of Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough which are within easy reach of this Hedon cottage.
