Previous visitors' comments about Burton House:

The cottage is nicely furnished, full of character, very comfortable and larger than we expected. The sunny garden is lovely, and perfect for the children to play in. We liked the slow, friendly pace of the village, which was much less 'touristy' than some other villages we visited. An excellent family holiday cottage, well placed for access to all the local attractions in the area.

A wonderful holiday! We love Burton House and its lovely garden. Will definitely return. There was lots of little extras in the house and its in a wonderful area.
Mrs Layton, Durham, July 2011

This was our second visit. We love the garden for our two young boys, with excellent space for them to run around. The house is also in a great location to visit lots of places and the town itself has lots of lovely shops that are useful for a self catering holiday.
