The small, ancient village of Sinnington lies halfway between the attractive market towns of Pickering and Kirkbymoorside. Traditional cottages line the streets and the village green, whilst the river running through the village is an excellent spot for a peaceful stroll and feeding the ducks! The church dates back to the 12th Century, and the traditional village inn serves excellent food. Both Kirkbymoorside and Pickering are only 4 miles away, lying on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, and are charming places, with plenty of amenities, from tearooms, pubs and restaurants, to antique shops and the weekly markets. Excellent walking and magnificent scenery are close by, as are the picturesque villages of Hutton le Hole and Lastingham, and both the City of York and the Yorkshire Coast are within easy reach.
