Wrelton is a small pretty village just three miles from the historic market town of Pickering. Its stone built cottages are clustered around two village greens where the annual summer fete is held every August. Although the village has no shops, it has an excellent pub which serves meals and is the hub of the village. Surrounded by the stunning countryside of the North York Moors, Wrelton offers great walking from the doorstep. Nearby are the market towns of Helmsley and Malton, and just three miles away are the steam railway and Pickering Castle. There are a wealth of places to visit from this great base including Castle Howard, the historic city of York with its famous Minster and the fishing port of Whitby on the east coast.

The local inn is a two minute walk from this Wrelton cottage, whilst the nearby market town of Pickering has excellent shops, restaurants, tearooms and pubs. This lovely Wrelton cottage provides the perfect base to discover this beautiful area; walking the stunning scenery of the moors, exploring the market towns of Helmsley and Malton, or visiting stately homes such as Castle Howard, and Duncombe Park. For golf enthusiasts, Kirkbymoorside and Malton both have excellent courses, whilst steam lovers may take a nostalgic trip across spectacular scenery from Pickering to Whitby on the North York Moors Steam Railway. The East Coast resorts are also within easy reach of this Wrelton cottage, making it a superb base throughout the year.
