The Staintondale Shire Horse Farm is just down the road, while there is a network of footpaths and bridleways in the village. A superb base from which to explore the region.

Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin, both with sloping ceilings and original beams. Bathroom with ‘shower bath’ (standard length bath with large curved shower area with electric shower over), WC and basin. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric woodburning effect stove.
Oil fired central heating throughout, additional heating from electric woodburning effect stove in living area. Electric fan oven with ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV, DVD, stereo/CD player etc. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. The cottage is well equipped and we had a 'home from home' experience. We thought the real Christmas tree and the box of chocolates left by the owners was a nice touch. The cottage is ideally located as it is literally half way between Scarborough and Whitby - two of our favourite places. We actually spent some of Christmas day on the beach, something we have all wanted to do but have never managed until now.

The location for ourselves was excellent as we like to get out and about. The cottage was fantastic in a lovely area with so much to explore. The owners were very nice, very welcoming people and with very nice children. I do have to mention Abby there wonderful dog, she was fantastic.Sykes did us proud!

Excellent location. The owners were very friendly and helpful. A must do is to go to Stoupe Beck beach, it is great for dogs and also try The Falcon Inn for food.
