The picturesque village of Scalby lies just 2.5 miles from the seaside resort of Scarborough. The village centre, with its stone cottages and Victorian houses, boasts good facilities, with two pubs, two local shops, a quaint tea room and a hairdressers. Surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful countryside, it makes the perfect place to stay, with numerous public footpaths and the well-known Scalby Beck, which winds its way to the coast. A weekly farmers market is held in the school grounds selling local produce. With Scarborough on the doorstep, with its fine, sandy beaches, good restaurants and bustling town centre, Scalby provides a lovely retreat after a busy day out!

Welcoming and comfortable, this Scalby holiday cottage is close to a traditional pub and village shops, whilst the beautiful surrounding countryside offers great walking from the doorstep. For golf enthusiasts, Scarborough boasts two courses, one only a mile from this Scalby holiday cottage, whilst theatre-goers can delight in the famous Stephen Joseph Theatre. The two sandy beaches are ideal for families, who will also enjoy the numerous restaurants, shops and entertainment. Stroll along South cliff with its wonderful Victorian architecture or climb up to the 12th century castle ruins. A cosy Scalby cottage, well situated to suit everyone!
