Popular since Victorian times, the vibrant seaside town of Scarborough retains many of its original fine buildings, parks and gardens, as well as its historic Castle which overlooks the town. North and South bay provide two superb stretches of beautiful, golden sandy beaches, popular with families and small children. There are many popular visitor attractions within the town, including the Stephen Joseph Theatre, which premieres all Sir Alan Ayckbourn's plays. Really enjoyed our stay in the old Victorian cottage.

Everything. The location was ideal for dog walking. My Dad and late Mum have been coming to Scarborough for over 50 years so it is really a second home. If the cottage is available again it will be on the top of our list for next year - Thank you!

This was yet another good cottage that we have booked through Sykes Cottages. The accommodation was very good, warm, comfortable and a haven to return to after a hard days walking. We love to visit the East Coast with its magnificent scenery, sea cliffs and wildlife. The cottage was conveniently situated for us to visit the RSPB nature reserve at Bempton and we also spent some time watching grey seals as Flamborough Head. It was an excellent holiday and we would use this cottage again.

The Poppies is a great cottage with all you need for a relaxing holiday. There was excellent food served at the Oakwheel restaurant nearby.
