Three delightful, single-storey cottages in a courtyard setting of five properties, in a quiet location in the coastal village of Skinningrove. These Skinningrove cottages have been built on the site of the original stables which housed the pit-ponies serving the old mine in the village, and have been thoughtfully designed, decorated and furnished to offer very comfortable, contemporary accommodation. Outside, the cottages share a communal garden area with lawned and gravelled areas, ideal for sharing an evening drink. Close to the Cleveland Ironstone Mining Museum and Cleveland Way National Trail, and within easy reach of the beautiful moors and coastal countryside around, these lovely Skinningrove cottages make a great base for exploring the area, including the picturesque villages of Staithes and Runswick Bay, and the historic town of Whitby.

Previous visitors' comments about Bishop Cottage:
We stayed at Bishops cottage for one month and we can honestly say it was one of the best months we have had the owners couldn't have done enough for us and couldn't have been nicer .The accommodation was superb and spotless and a lovely time altogether and would recommend it to all.

Excellent accommodation in a very good holiday location.
Mrs Nicholls, Wellingborough, October 2012
Because of my disability we particularly like the fact that being on one level made life so much easier than a house with an upstairs. The cottage was exceptionally well presented with everything you need to live somewhere. Also very dog friendly the countryside and nearby resorts were really good. Weather sunny everyday was such a welcome bonus.
