With numerous public footpaths taking you through wonderful scenery, this is a walker's paradise!
For the less energetic, the seaside town of Whitby is just nine miles away with its quaint streets and alleyways, cobbled market square and many fine eating places.
Enjoy the long, sandy beaches, climb the 199 steps up to the abbey or visit the Captain Cook Memorial Museum.
There is plenty here for everyone.

Lealholm is in the centre of the lovely Esk Valley within the North York Moors National Park and just 15 minutes' drive from the magnificent Yorkshire coast. There are wonderful countryside walks in every direction and don’t be surprised to see moorland sheep wandering freely through the village and along the banks of the river! The quaint fishing villages of Staithes and Runswick Bay, the sandy beach of Sandsend and the ancient port of Whitby are all close by.
