The peaceful village of Thornton-le-Moor sits between the historic towns of Thirsk and Northallerton, at the foot of a ridge dividing two river basin areas, the Wiske and the Cod Beck, in an area of natural beauty on the edge of the Vale of York, between the Hambleton Hills and the Yorkshire Dales. With considerable history dating back to Roman times, the old village is basically two rows of brick built houses, reflecting the rich architecture of the Georgian and Victorian period. We enjoyed being with our family & in particular having our own en suites was a bonus. All the extra provisions for our twin granddaughters was appreciated. The welcome pack was amazing, & the log fire was great to relax in front of in the evening. The owner was so involved in making the properties welcoming it was a pleasure to be there.
