The small rural village of Sneaton lies in an elevated position, just 3 miles from Whitby, and 21 miles from Scarborough. Pretty stone cottages line the main street, and the local pub - a traditional inn, with a welcoming open fire and beamed ceilings - offers excellent local fayre. Close by is Beacon Farm, which produces wonderful ice cream and also has a tearoom and farm shop. The famous fishing port of Whitby is only a short drive away, with its cobbled streets and alleys, good beaches, excellent restaurants, and array of cafes. A must for any holidaymaker!

We found the place very beautiful and comfortable. The cottage is ideally situated and we appreciated very much the calm and the garden. The perfect peaceful place we were looking for. We will definitely go back. Sneaton Hall 1 is one of those rare places one would never want to leave!

Overall we loved the holiday, the view of the Abbey, the gardens - everything was great and we would recommend it - we loved Sneaton Hall.
Mrs Peterson, Luton, May 2012
Loved the big open plan living area and the lobby for muddy boots and coats. Lovely comfortable beds - and the hot water bottles were a particularly nice touch. The property is really peaceful but very accessible for Whitby and all the surrounding attractions. We had a great time.
