Location: Robin Hood’s Bay

Whitby 6 miles; Scarborough 17 miles.

Robin Hood's Bay, with its narrow cobbled streets and quaint cottages, is one of the most picturesque villages on the English coastline. Situated between Scarborough and Whitby, this charming old fishing village is to be found nestling at the edge of a wide sweeping bay backed by spectacular cliffs and dramatic moorland scenery, and was once home to author Leo Walmsley. All holidaymakers will love the beach and its cliff top walks whilst more serious walkers will enjoy the many long distance trails that pass through the Cleveland Way, the Lyke Wake Walk and the Coast to Coast walks which all take in Robin Hood’s Bay. The village amenities are superb, with charming alleyways to explore and plenty of places to rest, relax and take refreshment. A perfect base for enjoying the Yorkshire Coast.

Previous visitors' comments about Heather Croft:

Lovely clean comfortable cottage, close to amenities. A home from home.
Mrs Ibberson, Manchester, April 2012

The cottage was perfect for our needs and we have already booked it again for next year. Its location is great - super views and perfectly placed for touring around the area. The owner popped over to introduce herself and to ask if everything was OK, which was nice. It was Goth weekends in Whitby, which added extra interest to our holiday.
Ms Gill, Belper, October 2011

The view from the cottage was lovely and there was a playhouse in the garden that my 2 year old loved and there was toys for her too. The cottage overall was excellent and we had a great time.
Miss Linskey, Rotherham, September 2011

Beautiful views from the house, which is comfortable and well equipped. Conveniently located on the main road and local shops are nearby.
