Guest Reviews

    • “A lovely cottage, great location”

    • “Our whole stay at Jet Cottage was great, the cottage was so well kitted out, very welcoming and full of homely touches including a bottle of wine! The kids and dog instantly settled in, and we loved walking down to the beach and shops, pubs etc. The weather was pretty grim but the owners had thoughtfully left some games and dvds, all tvs having dvd players which was useful, and sky. The kids loved living on the top floor, but watch the stairs with little ones as quite steep. The owners were very helpful when we couldn't get the tv in the lounge to work and came out straight away. Nothing wrong with it! Would thoroughly recommend.”

    • “Great location in central Whitby and excellent proximity to amenities, nice decor, immaculately clean, very good facilities but king sized bed is hard and not very comfortable, had to sleep on top of 2 duvets.”

    • “Jet Cottage is a small, but welcoming place to base yourself for a short break or a week to explore Whitby and the surrounding area. Accommodation was quiet, but centrally located and well decorated with a homely feel. We stayed towards the end of June 2012 with our Springer Spaniel who loved the walks as much as we did even though the weather wasn't the kindest the pubs and eateries we found were very good and welcoming.”

    • “The cottage was as described in the brochure. It was well equipped with everything we needed, even for cooking Christmas dinner. Right in the centre of Whitby everywhere was accessible. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms roomy. Only one complaint was the shower was hard to operate to get the water hot enough.”

    • “Our first impression was how spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated the cottage was. The cottage was cosy, comfortable and located right in the town area, close to shops, restaurants and a few minutes walk to the harbour. All in all, we each enjoyed our holiday, including the dog. We would book the cottage again.”

    Mr Baker, Hitchin, July 2015

    • “We felt at home straight away in this very peaceful and intimate cottage. It was a very friendly and safe environment, ideal for a short break or longer. We stayed only for 2 nights, but would have loved to have stayed for longer, as we felt very relaxed there in a home from home environment. I would definitely recommend this cottage, a beautiful little gem tucked away in the heart of Whitby, with all amenities close at hand.”

    Mr Maddock, Stockport, May 2015

    • “The cottage was welcoming and as it was just off Flowergate in Whitby it was central to everything - easy to reach the harbour, the shops, east and west Whitby, the buses and trains and the surrounding countryside. There were plenty of brochures and leaflets about the attractions of the town. It helped that the weather was good!”

    Mrs Alexander, Bristol, June 2014

    • “Jet Cottage is a beautiful place to stay. It is so lovely, quiet and peaceful in the cottage yet right in the centre of everything Whitby has to offer. Absolutely fantastic - would definitely recommend it. This is the first time I have booked a holiday through Sykes and the service was excellent, especially the very friendly and helpful lady that helped with my initial enquiries and booking. I will definitely be booking again with Sykes.”
