The ancient fishing port of Whitby lies at the mouth of the River Esk and is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire with its superb coastline and the spectacular North York Moors. The cottage was situated very central, which was excellent, shops, pubs and fish and chip shops on doorstep. The weather was quite good, plenty of lovely walks. This was our third time in Ocean Cottage, and we will certainly be back.
