  • "Great location and very comfortable accommodation."

I was fortunate to find on road parking 2 min walk away.

  • "Took six days to fix a faulty smoke alarm that was constantly bleeping every 30 seconds 24 hours a day."

Was very annoying. Road noise from outside was very loud and intrusive. The two couches in the flat are very uncomfortable and well past their sell by date. No support in them at all. The flat is well equipped and close to town but you have to park at least a 5/10 minute walk away. We found empty shower cap box between the cushions when trying to adjust the cushions and a cigarette lighter under the coffee table, so cleaners could be a bit more vigilant. We had a good holiday but the alarm was very annoying and couches need changed. If this and the road noise could be dealt with we woul think about returning here but couldn't countenance a return if these issues weren't sorted.

  • "The property is on a very busy road and even though secondary double glazing has been installed, it does little to eliminate the road noise."

The people in the flat above were very noisy and inconsiderate at night. The heating had accidentally been left on following a routine service and no toilet paper was provided. There were some nice touches such as complementary refreshments and toiletries but would not go back or recommend to others.

  • "A clean, spacious and comfortable apartment in an excellent location."

Everything you could possibly need is provided and there are little extra touches like the quality of the tea, coffee and biscuits that make you feel welcome. This really is a superb place to stay and I thoroughly recommend it!

  • "We found the Park View a clean and lovely spacious flat."

It was fully equipped and the owner left at the flat all the instructions manuals for the appliances and the TV. The flat is in a wonderful location and has lovely scenic views of Pannett Park and looking into the town of Whitby. The owner was easy to get a hold of and was informative, helpful and friendly. We highly recommend Park View and we would stay there again in the future.

  • "A lovely stay at this gorgeous flat."

It was in the perfect location, so that it was quiet, but just a short walk to the town centre and harbour. Despite being right next to the road, the traffic noise did not bother us, partly as the windows had extra glazing. The only thing I would say is that it would have been helpful to have the flat number on the key safe box, as there were several other boxes next to it.

  • "The property was lovely and in a nice condition, the overall area was really nice and only a 5 minute walk into the main areas of Whitby!"

The traffic noise was there due to being on a busy road but they have done everything they can to cancel this out such as adding another window screen. I personally don’t mind the noise but if your looking for quiet this would not be the place for you :) The facilities were one of the best we have come across in a long while and you can tell the care that has been taken within the property. Unfortunately there were a few things that I would like to mention :( There were a few items left in the bedside table (corkscrew) and a few cobwebs in the main living area. With regards to the lock box please label it! It would make it so much easier. We did not have the best nights sleep on the main bedroom bed provided as it was really hard and we did have some pain when waking up which is such a shame due to everything else being better than what we could ask for! Thank you for a lovely stay and we wish you all the best x

Particularly us with bus passes! Three minute walk down hill to bus and train station, and then into town centre. Three minute walk up hill to 24/7 free on-street car parking. (Stop outside front door to load and unload). Pleasant outlook across park. Large lounge with comfy sofas. Traffic noise light, and not a problem. We did move the masses of glasses/ crockery, so we could have eye level food storage … only took a minute.

  • "Well located apartment, and a good size for 3, with everything we needed for a good stay."

We had a couple of hiccups though; Noise from the resistant upstairs-it might be worth noting in the description that the apartments are mixed holiday and residential. The tv didn’t work for the duration of our stay, the property owner was quick to help but was told a new part was required and not available until our return date. Another landlord spotted that an electric switch in the communal area had been set to off, this had prevented the tv and the communal hall/stair lights from working. We left the keys in the door lock of the apartment (as we were intending on going straight back out) and out of habit my daughter turned the catch inside. This effectively deadlocked the lock, meaning we were locked in the apartment. A neighbour heard us knocking and released us fortunately. Serious issue potentially, especially in case of fire. We found the double bed, with the footboard a little too small in the master bedroom. The flat owner couldn’t have gone more to help with the issues.

  • "The bathroom needs a rail I had to hold on to the sink in the night to feel safe going down them ."

The steps are steeper than I expected and the night light in the hall doesn’t light the steps up enough so we had to leave the main light on all night. The bed is very firm but that is personal preference . The 2 flights of steps up to the apartment were no problem for us . I thought there should have been hand wash in the bathroom especially during COVID we arrived after 5 pm but had to go straight back out again to get Hand wash and washing up liquid . There is a little toiletry set but they aren’t really needed it would be better to leave the basic hand wash . There were lots of milk in pots but only Earl grey tea luckily we had bought our own but the biscuits were nice . The apartment is very well situated and we enjoyed our stay .

  • "We have been to Park View twice this year, July and September."

We enjoyed both stays. The apartment is very comfortable, well situated for all amenities. Close to the harbour and opposite Pannet Park. It is very very comfortable for 3 people. The second bedroom is quite small, the bed is up against the wall, so some may struggle to get in and out of the bed if there was two people. Again this is only an issue if there is mobility problems, but feel people should know this before they choose to book. Another issue is, there are two steep flights of stairs to the apartment which when carrying heavy luggage or for anyone with mobility problems would be a real problem. There is no parking at the property, we have been fortunate to find on street free parking, as we know Whitby well, but if you don't manage to find anywhere, the cost of parking for the weeks stay would be pricey. Park View is a great place to stay, we have had a super time. The reason I pointed out the stairs and bed is we took my elder sister with us one of the stays and she struggled with the stairs, but other than that had a great time.

The furniture is good quality, clean and comfortable. Although we didn't need them, there were drinks sachets/biscuits, also dishcloth/washing-up liquid, and toiletries. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything that we needed. The tray for muddy boots was very useful. There was always plenty of hot water, and the heating was very easy to use. It was in a great location - only five minutes walk from the bus/railway station. There's a lovely view of Pannett Park from the room window - I enjoyed watching the playful squirrels. Despite being on a busy road, the traffic noise was no problem at night. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of storage for clothes. This apartment is one I will certainly return to.
