Location: Great Fryup Dale

Lealholm 2 miles; Whitby 14 miles.

Few will have heard of this rather oddly named Dale with its scattering of farms and houses, but here is a gem waiting to be discovered! Tucked away in the North York Moors National Park, Fryup Dale is a quiet, unspoilt area - an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding Heartbeat country, on foot, by bike or car. The surrounding heather clad moors are truly magnificent - a delight for walkers who revel in the many footpaths and trails across the moorland. For train lovers there are trains from nearby Lealholm running through the lovely Esk Valley to Whitby, calling at many of the pretty Moors villages on the way. The Esk Valley line links with the ever popular North York Moors Steam Railway at Grosmont. The nearest beach is 10 miles away at idyllic Runswick Bay. A superb base for a holiday in this outstanding area!

Previous visitors' comments about Prospect Coach House:

We loved both the location and the standard of the property. Being there in the snow, and seeing a deer from the window, made it extra special.
Mr Newhouse, Shipley, February 2012

This cottage is ideally situated for anyone wanting to get away from it all and enjoy some peace and quiet. It is very well equipped and has a porch area to store boots which was great especially as we had a "damp week". A third time a Sykes holiday has been a success!
Ms Thompson, Cottingham, August 2011

This is our third visit to Prospect Coach House and the holidays just get better and better. The house is exceptionally clean, very well equipped, and is in a beautiful location with so much to do. Most importantly there is enough safe storage for five bikes! The garden and stream were a massive hit with our three children. We're looking forward to rebooking for next year.
Mrs Cottington, Ossett, July 2011

Great location - beautiful valley. Well equipped cottage.
