Lealholm is in the centre of the lovely Esk Valley within the North York Moors National Park and just 15 minutes' drive from the magnificent Yorkshire coast. It is a picturesque village which caters well for the visitor with a Post Office, shop, pub and tea rooms/restaurant all on hand. There are wonderful countryside walks in every direction and don’t be surprised to see moorland sheep wandering freely through the village and along the banks of the river! The quaint fishing villages of Staithes and Runswick Bay, the sandy beach of Sandsend and the ancient port of Whitby are all close by.

Lealholm 1.5 miles. A pretty, semi-detached stone barn conversion, on a working sheep farm in an elevated, rural position with superb views over the picturesque Esk Valley, 1.5 miles from Lealholm. Beautifully restored, this cosy characterful property has been tastefully furnished and decorated, providing very comfortable accommodation. With an open plan living area, complete with underfloor heating, it makes the perfect romantic retreat all year round. The stunning views over the moors are a delight, and with numerous footpaths close by, this is an ideal base for walkers. The charming village of Lealholm, with its river, village shop, tea rooms, pub and restaurant serving excellent food, and delightful garden nursery, is like taking a step back in time, with the moorland sheep wandering the village and stepping stones across the river. The seaside town of Whitby and quaint fishing village of Staithes are both a short drive, with their cobbled streets and ginnels to explore. An area with so much to discover and well worth a visit!
