The quaint and peaceful village of Riccall lies 10 miles south of York with history going back to 1066. The village has a range of amenities including two pubs, shops, a post office, a regular bus service to York and Selby, a doctor's surgery, a beautiful ancient parish church and even a fabulous Indian Restaurant. Ideal for children, Riccall has its own park which includes excellent play facilities and even a large purpose-built skateboard ramp. The village is also on a Sustrans Route, allowing visitors to cycle easily and safely to York or Selby along the original rail track. Locally, a 1000-acre nature reserve dominates the landscape, Skipwith Common, and is ideal for keen birdwatchers. Explore York's quaint streets and hidden corners or take an excursion further afield - the Yorkshire Dales, Yorkshire Moors or the coastal resorts of Scarborough, Bridlington, Whitby and Filey are all within easy reach.

The Property

A delightful, brick built detached bungalow, situated on the owner's ten acre farm just outside the pretty village of Riccall, ten miles from York. Set in spacious grounds with two other similar units, this Riccall cottage provides good quality accommodation, ideal for family and friends to get away from it all and enjoy this lovely area. Featuring a spacious dining kitchen, three lovely bedrooms and a warm and snug sitting room, this Riccall cottage is ideal for a break whatever the time of year. Guests can enjoy the extensive grounds and the superb touring opportunities afforded by the excellent road links. With York just a short drive away, as well as the Yorkshire Dales, Yorkshire Moors and coastline, this makes a good destination for enjoying this peaceful corner of Yorkshire. Also, this lovely Riccall cottage is suitable for those with limited mobility, as the accommodation enjoys a Mobility level 3 award from Visit Britain.

All ground floor. Three bedrooms: 1 x king-size double (zip/link, can be twin beds by prior arrangement) with en-suite wet room shower, basin and WC, 2 x twin. Bathroom with bath, basin and WC. Fitted kitchen with dining area. Sitting room with electric fire.

Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dryer in shared laundry, dishwasher, colour TV, DVD, CD/radio etc, books/games etc. Electricity inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 3 cars. Patio with furniture, shared 1 acre grassed area. Two well behaved dogs welcome at £15 pppw, assistance dogs FOC. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 15 mins walk. Note: Invacare mobile hoist available on request and by arrangement with owner at the time of booking. Wheelchair access.
