Just five miles from historic York, these lovely properties make an ideal retreat for those wishing to explore the city, the rugged moors or even the coastal resorts of Whitby and Scarborough.
A traditional brick built mid terrace cottage with use of an indoor heated swimming pool, games room and tennis court, in the tranquil countryside surroundings of Claxton Hall. Recently renovated, Priestley offers cosy, well-equipped accommodation including an open fire, and makes an ideal base, any time of year. Note: Ref. 1404 Bronte is on the same site, and together they can accommodate up to 10 people.

A lovely cottage in lovely surroundings and within driving reach of towns and tourist areas for some great days out. The games room kept us occupied for a few evenings. The pool was a great hit with the children and the dishwasher was a great hit for me.

We liked the safe garden areas - really children friendly. The pool was really good as were all the other amenities. It was ideal for visiting York and surrounding countryside. I would recommend it to families.

It is a lovely setting and although you can hear the road, it doesn't disturb the quietness. The pool is good and it is near to a good shopping centre and not too far from many places of interest.
