Filey is a traditional English seaside resort, with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday. A fishing town on the North East Coast, Filey has enjoyed a reputation of being a seaside resort since Victorian times. The town is set affront the magnificent Filey Bay, a long stretch of beautiful sand with Filey Brigg to the North with its shallow rock pools. The town itself seems almost caught in a timewarp, retaining much of its character, with individual shops, narrow paths and ginnels. There is a small coble landing, a slipway where the local fishermen keep their boats, and delightful beach chalets that can be hired through the summer months. The bay is edged with two promenades and there are various gardens, where brass bands play on a Sunday afternoon. This small town is family orientated with pony rides on the beach, children’s play areas, crazy golf and candy floss! Nearby, Flamborough Head boasts high cliffs with exhilarating walks and Bempton Cliffs are a haven for bird lovers. A short drive brings you to the much busier town of Scarborough. Plenty to discover and explore in this lovely area.

The accommodation was very good and convenient to many places.
The beach was very easy to get and at this time of the year the dogs were allowed to enjoy it. I would most certainly go back again, it was lovely and relaxing.

The Cottage was ideally situated. The inside of this accommodation was very clean and that was needed for a relaxing holiday was to hand. The beach was very close which was ideal for our two dogs. We will be returning again.

We loved the property as it offered a modern, homely and comfy stay. We especially loved the enclosed patio and garden as this was ideal for our dog. There is lots to do at the Bay and we will definitely visit again.
