Previous visitors' comments about Petergate House:
The area is very pleasant and quiet, being situated on a modern mock-Georgian estate, but close enough to town to be convenient. It's about a ten minute walk to the city walls, and the National Railway museum is close by. The kitchen is really well stocked with good quality equipment, bedrooms are great, bathrooms great. Everything about it was great!
Mr Wisbey, Aldershot, March 2013
There was plenty to do and it was a good place to return to after a long day sightseeing. More than sufficient for our needs.
Mrs Owens, Liverpool, March 2013
Comfy beds, location, everything in general. I have been to York a few times and always stayed in a hotel but would highly recommend staying here if there's a few of you as it was like home from home, will be staying here again.
Mrs Woodvine, Crewe, November 2012
The property had easy access into the centre of York, and to/from York Railway Station. Great family activities which were good value for money - National Railway Museum (free), Castle Museum (under 16 free). The Jorvik Centre and the Yorkshire Wheel also went down really well with the family. Lots of good things to do when the weather is a bit damp.
