Well located, just ten miles from York, and a little further to the Spa Town of Harrogate and the shopping centre of Leeds, this superb Cawood cottage is ideal for family gatherings with many attractions available in the area. Retaining numerous original features, this Cawood cottage has a country-style kitchen, with an authentic, feature Yorkist range, leading to a light and airy garden room with dining area with Yorkshire stone flooring and a glazed roof. There are two delightful sitting rooms, one boasting a large inglenook fireplace hosting a cosy woodburner and a library area, and both with high ceilings and sash bay windows. The main garden entrance in this Cawood cottage has a tiled hall and a beautiful, original stained-glass front door. The spacious bedrooms in this Cawood cottage are tastefully furnished, with the king-size room offering a separate dressing room and an en-suite bathroom, whilst also on the first floor there is a twin room, which offers great views. On the second floor is a double and a twin room, which share a seating area. Outside this York cottage is a large, enclosed, lawned garden with a barbecue area, a lovely spot to sit and relax. Beyond the high walled boundary of this Cawood cottage are riverside walks, whilst a short stroll will bring you to one of three inns, and also Cawood Castle, immortalised in the classic nursery rhyme Humpty Dumpty. A fifteen minute drive to visit the historic city of York is a must, with its spectacular Minster, famous cobbled Shambles, National Railway Museum, Jorvik Viking Centre and River Ouse.
