  • "Had an amazing stay at this beautiful apartment."

A little smaller than expected, looked bigger on the photos but perfect for a cosy place to chill for two people. Would not want anymore in there. Space outside was perfect. Bats out like clockwork at 6.50pm! Had everything we needed. Cooking facilities were enough for us with ready meals and easy meals. Welcome basket was very kind and the wine and milk much appreciated. Although right next to the cottage, we didn’t feel intruded upon and plenty of privacy as the back garden is huge and hedged. Lovely location for our many walks and peaceful which is what we required. Great place for our dog, Sidney. Would definitely recommend for a couple as a get away and would return again if in the area.

  • "Lovely quiet location with great garden."

Hosts available but not intrusive. Welcome pack much appreciated. Some aspects showing signs of age - worn chair, old pots & pans etc. Would benefit from having wifi but adequate mobile signal. Only real complaint being the lack of a decent oven - no issue with it being a freestanding plug-in, but the only oven available is simply too basic & small (9 litres) for self catering.

Very well equipped with almost everything you need on holiday...only negative point was lack of a decent sized oven to cook the food that I had taken with me. • "Good reception to property, which was clean tidy and had amenities as advertised."

The only thing that spoilt it for us was we felt someone had come into the accommodation whilst we were off property. No note was left to say who, why or what for. Which left us quite on edge and uneasy. This is the only reason for low recommendation. As we didn’t see owners after initial contact we didn’t say anything.

It is a rural setting so tick prevention for dogs advised. Welcome pack much appreciated. The apartment actually looks better in real life than online pics showed, we were a family of 4 with 10 and 13 year old boys and the property gave us enough space to relax and comfortable beds for sleeping. If the weather permits there is a large outside area and BBQ. The property is well presented and spotlessly clean with everything you need for a break. We wouldn't hesitate in suggesting this property to friends and family.

What is listed as a pub is just a b&b and was full while we were there and also wasnt dog friendly. So we had to travel 6 miles to the nearest pub which meant only 1 of us could have a drink not what we expected. Was in the middle of nowhere also only got to meet 1 of the owners we never got to meet the lady who ran the property which has never happened to us before. Not enough clean towels in the property so we had to go ask for more as 2 for a week wasnt enough and the guy seemed suprised we asked for more. Wouldnt go back again far too out of the way to any amenities

The accommodation was just right for a couple, comfortable and well equipped .Hosts were welcoming but not intrusive. Reference to pub close by is unhelpful as The Steading is really B&B restricted to those staying there and so unavailable for drinks or food when fully booked. In reality the nearest pub about 6 miles away. Overall a lovely place to stay in a beautiful area.

The hosts Keith and Lynn were fab and had provided a hamper on arrival with cereal, bread, shortbreads, eggs and the fridge was also stocked with the essentials, milk, butter and even wine!! We definitely brought too much food with us! They had even provided bowls and a bed for the dog which was fab. The only thing we struggled with was drying wet clothes and towels as the heating was under-floor so there were no radiators. But really a minor issue as the flat was lovely and cosy otherwise! Thanks again for a lovely holiday.
