From Nairn, the famous Malt Whisky Trail can be easily accessed and what a great day out that makes as the many distilleries are very welcoming with friendly visitor centres, but also the stunning scenery can be enjoyed along the way.
Being close to Inverness, visitors will enjoy a trip to the vibrant capital city of the Highlands and perhaps visit the atmospheric Culloden Battlefield with its award-winning visitor centre.
Once in Inverness then Urquhart Castle on the banks of Loch Ness makes an amazing outing and who knows you may even spot Nessie!

Also, one of the only two dolphin colonies in the UK is based in the Moray Firth. Nairn is steeped in history and is closely linked with the Battle of Culloden, whilst nearby Fort George is Europe’s best preserved 18th century military fortification.
