Just 8 miles away is Newtonmore, which overlooks the River Spey in the Cairngorms National Park, boasting several shops and pubs as well as the Newtonmore Craft Centre and two award-winning museums. The area offers fine golf, fishing, pony trekking, walking, bird-watching, climbing, skiing and cycling, with the Laggan Wolftrax mountain bike centre close by. The Property

Laggan 2.5 miles. A delightful, detached property situated in the grounds of the owner’s cattle and sheep farm, 2.5 miles from the rural village of Laggan. Enjoying uninterrupted views of the Monadhliath Mountains from every room, Creag-na-Sanais (hill of peace) offers tastefully furnished and well equipped accommodation, with a light and airy sitting room with open fire, two bathrooms and a lovely garden, ideal for sitting out and relaxing. The surrounding area boasts many walks, flowing rivers, beautiful lochs and a variety of wildlife. A popular area for outdoor pursuits, including skiing during winter, this is a superb retreat for simply relaxing and taking in the incredible Highland views. Laggan, with its beautiful Loch, is nearby, whilst 5 miles south is Dalwhinnie, offering the chance to sample the local Dram and visit the distillery. Wolftrax, the Laggan Mountain Bike Centre, is just 3 miles away and makes a great day out. Newtonmore, Kingussie, Aviemore, Inverness, Perth and Fort William are all within easy driving distance. A superb holiday base.
