Situated within the Cairngorms National Park, the village is home to a pony trekking centre, a challenging 9-hole golf course and a good selection of shops and eateries. The Landmark Forest Theme Park and Visitor Centre features displays on the natural history of the Highlands and once a year, during September, the Village Hall is transformed into the setting to find the World's Best Porridge Maker, a competition not to be missed! Nearby Aviemore, with its championship golf course and wide selection of shops and pubs is well worth a visit, whilst the surrounding countryside offers great walking, cycling and wildlife watching opportunities together with superb skiing on the Cairngorm Mountain Range. The area has an abundance of wildlife and from the comfort of your Carrbridge cottage you may be able to spot Roe deer, red squirrels and a variety of bird life. Leave the car behind and enjoy walks and cycling routes from Carrbridge, or you may wish to visit Aviemore where you will find many outdoor activities. Whatever your choice of activity, it’s all here in the wonderful Cairngorms National Park, where you will not be disappointed!
