The pretty village of Embleton is ideally placed for exploring one of the most attractive stretches of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline. A beautiful grassy path runs from the village to neighbouring Craster, alongside the sea and past Dunstanburgh Castle - the largest ruined castle in Northumberland. Embleton itself has four village pubs, two of which serve food, and there is an excellent range of amenities in nearby Alnwick. The gardens at nearby Howick Hall are open during the summer and are noted for their beauty, whilst Alnwick Castle and Garden are a 'must-see' when visiting the area. For the keen golfer, Dunstanburgh Links Course is about 1 mile away - just one of several excellent courses in the vicinity.

The Property

An extremely cosy first floor apartment situated above a quiet and friendly village pub - The Greys Inn - in the charming village of Embleton, just 800 yards from Embleton Bay and close to Dunstanburgh Links Golf Course. Recently re-furbished and decorated to a good standard, Hops Haven offers warm and comfortable accommodation, whilst the pub below is well known in the area for its fine real ale and bar food. Only a hop, skip and jump from the rest of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline with its endless sandy beaches and dunes, this is a truly ideal base from which to discover this still Secret Kingdom. Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden are 7 miles away.
