The pretty village of Embleton is ideally placed for exploring one of the most attractive stretches of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline. A beautiful grassy path runs from the village to neighbouring Craster, alongside the sea and past Dunstanburgh Castle - the largest ruined castle in Northumberland. Embleton itself has four village pubs, two of which serve food, and there is an excellent range of amenities in nearby Alnwick. The gardens at nearby Howick Hall are open during the summer and are noted for their beauty, whilst Alnwick Castle and Garden are a 'must-see' when visiting the area. For the keen golfer, Dunstanburgh Links Course is about 1 mile away - just one of several excellent courses in the vicinity.

Good centre for exploring the Northumberland coast. Embleton is a nice village with the conveniences of a village shop, post office, garage, pubs and a good hotel for meals out. Bus stop is right outside the door.

A very beautiful and friendly part of the country. Lots of places to visit and things to do. Very clean beaches. A wide range of places to eat at very good value. Would return there again.

The Nook is very cosy. It is well situated for the Secret Kingdom. There are several good eating places, good golf courses and plenty of places to walk and to see.
