The small attractive village of Lowick is ideally placed for a holiday in Northumberland. Kimmerston Riding Centre is just a few miles to the west of the village. The pretty village of Ford with its castle and craft shops is 2 miles away, part of the Ford and Etal Estate which has facilities for cycling and fishing, as well as a mini railway – ideal for all the family. There are also excellent golfing opportunities, with 8 golf courses within 20 miles of Lowick. Northumberland’s beautiful coastline, Holy Island, the Cheviots and the fascinating border town of Berwick, are all only a short drive away. A superb base for exploring all the region has to offer.

The Property

Lowick 3 miles. An attractive, traditional stone-built, mid-terraced cottage in the sleepy village of Bowsden, 3 miles from Lowick. The property has been tastefully modernised, and is well-equipped, decorated and furnished throughout, making a cosy, welcoming holiday home. The gardens front and back are ideal for summer relaxation, with views over open countryside to the Cheviots. Just 6 miles from the causeway to Lindisfarne and 10 miles from the Cheviot foothills, this cottage is ideally placed for exploring both the dramatic Heritage coastline and the lovely landscapes of this beautiful border county. With Berwick 15 minutes drive north and Alnwick 30 minutes drive south, Bowsden is an excellent location for visiting the historic Norman and Elizabethan towns of Northumberland.
