Location: Chirnside

Duns 6 miles; Berwick-upon-Tweed 9 miles.

The village of Chirnside occupies an elevated position overlooking the River Whiteadder and offers stunning views across the magnificent Cheviot and Lammermuir Hills. A number of interesting landmarks depict the village's long history, including a 16th Century dovecot and a beautiful parish church, believed to date back to the 12th Century. Each summer, the Jim Clark Rally, the only 'closed roads' race on mainland Britain, takes place in and around the Borders as a memorial to the village’s home born champion. Just 9 miles away lies the charming, coastal town of Berwick, boasting quaint, narrow streets enclosed within Elizabethan walls, excellent shopping and dining facilities and an interesting arts centre. The local area affords fantastic fishing, golf, walking and riding opportunities and the nearby resort of Spittal offers soft, sandy beaches, ideal for a relaxing afternoon. A brilliant location for exploring historic Edinburgh, beautiful Northumbria, and the attractions of Holy Island, Paxton House, Manderson, Bamburgh and Alnwick Castle. Chirnside is a great holiday location all year round.

Previous visitors' comments about Millside Chase:

Fantastic property, very well equipped and suited our family with two teenage boys well. Particularly liked the setting - the Autumn colours were spectacular. Having the garage with direct access to the property was a real luxury especially for the storage of our bikes.
Mrs Booth, Poulton-le-Fylde, October 2011

The property is situated in a pleasant quiet area but within reasonable drivable distance of a number of interesting towns and attractions in both England and Scotland. A day out in Edinburgh is feasible with regular trains from Berwick. Plenty of room inside to spread out and Sky TV was useful for the only rainy day we had. It was nice to receive a thank you e-mail from the owner when we returned home!
Mr & Mrs Ballard, Tewkesbury, July 2011

This was our second stay here and we will return again! Excellent accommodation in a wonderful setting with everything provided for a relaxing break.
Mr Kessie, Halifax, May 2011

A fantastic location - if you want peace and quiet then this is the place. The property has everything you need and an added bonus Sky Sports. It is an ideal base to discover Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.
Mrs Watson, Filey, September 2010
