Each summer, the Jim Clark Rally, the only 'closed roads' race on mainland Britain, takes place in and around the Borders as a memorial to the village’s home born champion. Fantastic property, very well equipped and suited our family with two teenage boys well. Particularly liked the setting - the Autumn colours were spectacular. Having the garage with direct access to the property was a real luxury especially for the storage of our bikes.

The property is situated in a pleasant quiet area but within reasonable drivable distance of a number of interesting towns and attractions in both England and Scotland. A day out in Edinburgh is feasible with regular trains from Berwick. Plenty of room inside to spread out and Sky TV was useful for the only rainy day we had. It was nice to receive a thank you e-mail from the owner when we returned home!

A fantastic location - if you want peace and quiet then this is the place. The property has everything you need and an added bonus Sky Sports. It is an ideal base to discover Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.
