    • “We were greeted on arrival by the owners and told where things were and the nearest local supermarket was for shopping. The cottage was very clean and modern with ample space for everyone with a nice garden at the rear of the property. It's just a shame that the weather wasn't too good so that we could take advantage of this facility.”

    • “The cottage was probably the best one we have ever stayed in for the location. The facilities available in the cottage, a proper home from home, excellent. If it wasn't so far to travel we would return every year. We could have done with staying a fortnight.”

About the location

Alnwick 4 miles.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore.
