    • “Fabulous accomodation, very spacious, well equipped and well located for all of the usual tourist spots around Northumberland.”

    • “A really good choice”

    • “Sea View was very well appointed with a bright airy living area. The location of this cabin was probably the best on the site. Quite private and very quiet. We loved the planting around the steps to the front door. It was decorated in a way that felt very personal to the owner and this gave it a home from home feel. Fantastic to have the view of the sea in the distance. We loved the easy access to towns, beaches and walks and to great restaurants. Our No1 recommendation is a visit to Howick Hall Gardens. We had a fantastic holiday and fell in love with Northumberland.”

    • “Perfect Northumberland Lodge”

    • “Sea View Lodge is a perfect lodge for a family stay. We stayed with our extended family and young baby (6month). The lodge is exceptionally clean, modern and well-presented. Attention to detail makes it feel very relaxing and homely. The open plan living and kitchen space is very bright and airy (with a sea view). We stayed at the end of September and the weather was starting to cool but the heating system throughout the lodge made it very warm and cosy inside the lodge. The kitchen is very well-equipped with clean good quality utensils, cutlery, cockery etc. There is also a dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine. It really felt like a home from home and we were sad to leave the lodge at the end of our stay. The inside of the lodge is superior to the outside. There is parking for 2 cars and a small garden space. The lodge is not within walking distance of any shops but it is only a short drive into Warkworth and Alnwick. We would definitely stay at the lodge again and will recommend the lodge to family and friends.”

    • “Holiday easy to book. Lodge clean and very well equipped. Lovely peaceful location, but close enough to shops and food. Warkworth village, very pretty. The lodge's location is ideal for surrounding attractions. All visitors should do the boat trip to the Farne Islands from Seahouses. For a special occasion enjoy a meal at the Treehouse Restaurant in alnwick Gardens (The gardens are pretty special too.) All in all one of our best holidays!!”

    • “Peaceful setting, lovely cottage”
    • tripadvisor rating
    • “Seaview cottage is spotless, set in lovely tranquil grounds desppite being close to other holiday cottages. Waking up to the gorgeous view of fields and sea never got old! The cottage is just outside Warkworth village which is a beautiful place with its own castle, hermitage and small boutique shops, cafes and pubs. Warkworth is on the coastal route within easy reach of Alnwick, Bambrugh, Craster, Seahouses. We would defintely recommend Spurreli Icecream Boutique in Amble (serves amazing flavour combinations as well as great wine, beers and coffee) and the Cook and Barker Inn in Newton-on-the-Moor - great food, fab setting and just over the A1.”

    • “The service recieved from Sykes Cottages was first class. The home was beautifully furnished and equipt with everything a young family would need. The children could safely play in the garden and with the house all on one level we never worried about them. The location was perfect, within easy reach of beautiful unspoilt beaches, fabulous castles and lovely towns. There is nothing we didn't like about this property, we have been twice now and intend to come back many more times.”

About the location

Alnwick 5 miles; Alnmouth 3 miles.

Lying in the loop of the River Coquet on the Heritage Coast, Warkworth is a picturesque village, dominated by the dramatic ruins of its 12th century castle. The history of the village and the castle are intertwined with the Percy Family who took over the castle in 1332. The Percys’ other home is nearby Alnwick Castle, most recently associated with Harry Potter as the film location of Hogwarts School. The main street is lined with Georgian and early Victorian houses and there is an exceptional range of galleries, antiques shops, a village shop/Post Office, pubs, restaurants and gift shops to suit all tastes. Warkworth has its own stretch of sandy beach and a 9 hole pay and play golf course. Also within easy touring distance are Hadrian’s Wall, Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island, the Farne Islands, several wonderful beaches and Alnwick Garden with its remarkable water cascade and Tree House Restaurant.
